Chandrakant Mali wins 11th bronze for India; India 6th in the Medal Tally.

After a day dominated by the shooters and Wrestlers, it was Weight lifter Chandrakant Mali who bagged the latest Bronze medal for India to increase its medal tally to 37. India has won 10 gold, 16 silver and 11 bronze medals so far. Australia are leading the medal tally with 101 medals that includes 34 gold, 31 silver and 36 bronze.

After great performances by the Indian wrestlers led by Sushil Kumar helped India rank 5th in the medal table but New Zealand’s Sophie Pascoe claiming her second gold medal of the Commonwealth Games increased Kiwis medal tally to 31 medals that include 11 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze. New Zealand have now won three golds in the pool in Glasgow after Lauren Boyle took the women’s 400m freestyle earlier on Tuesday.
